Code of Conduct

Our code of conduct is based upon that of the Toy and Game Expo, and other similar Australian expos. The rules of Looking for Gamers exist to ensure that the expo weekend is safe and welcoming for all.

1) HARASSMENT IS NEVER ALLOWED

Any form of harassment, whether physical, psychological or otherwise, will not be tolerated and will result in immediate removal from LFG. This includes harassment based on race, religion, sexuality, gender or gender expression, physical appearance or ability, and extends to harassment of attendees, volunteers, staff and venue employees. Offences considered harassment include directed innuendo, sexual gestures, unwanted touching or grabbing, or passive physical intimidation.

There are no take-backsies on racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia and the like. Offenders will be immediately removed from the venue. The complainant will be supported by LFG if they choose to put the incident on record.

2) DON'T GET INTOXICATED

The Eastlake Football Club is a licensed venue, and the consumption of alcohol by 18+ attendees is allowed. Intoxication is not. Venue staff retain the right to refuse any attendee service, and to eject any attendee who has become intoxicated. Attendees who become violent, disorderly, or poorly behaved, whether as a result of alcohol intoxication or otherwise will be removed from the premises.

Intoxication through means of illicit substances is prohibited at LFG, or anywhere inside the Eastlake Football Club. Attendees caught buying, selling, or using illegal substances will be removed from the venue.

3) IF IT'S NOT YOURS, HANDS OFF

Stealing from fellow attendees, expo/venue staff, exhibitors, demo booths or the games library is a criminal offense. Venue security and police will be notified.

4) NO CHEATING

Cheating is not in the spirit of LFG. All gaming events rely on honesty between players. If an attendee is caught cheating in a public game, they will be removed from that game. If caught cheating in a competition or tournament, they will be removed from the venue.

5) WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE, PLEASE

We encourage all attendees to maintain the family friendly nature of LFG. We understand that games can become heated, but it is always possible to retain a degree of decorum. Attendees wilfully making LFG an uncomfortable environment for others will be asked to keep it down. Attendees repeatedly doing the same will be asked to leave.

If you witness or experience any behaviour violating these guidelines, please speak to an LFG volunteer or member of venue staff immediately.

Conditions of Entry

Looking for Gamers (LFG) is dedicated to creating a safe and fun environment for all attendees.

Entry to the event is governed by the following conditions. Use of any ticket, pass, document or other specific authorisation provided by LFG is subject to these Conditions of Entry. Attendees who contravene the Conditions of Entry may be asked to leave the event.

1. The Eastlake Football Club is a licensed venue: attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
2. Attendees shall obey the direction of LFG staff and representatives at all times.
3. Attendees will adhere to the LFG Code of Conduct regarding harassment, intoxication, theft, cheating, and general good behaviour.
4. Some of the LFG activities are physical in nature. Attendees either viewing or involved in these activities do so at their own risk. If engaged in these activities attendees must conduct themselves in a manner which supports the safety of themselves, other attendees and staff.
5. It is prohibited to transport alcoholic beverages away from designated service areas, including into the exhibition hall and off premises.
6. Attendees shall not facilitate the service or provision of alcohol to minors.
7. Attendees shall not use, or be in possession of, illicit drugs.
8. At any stage, LFG may refuse entry to the venue or direct an attendee to leave the venue.
9. Attendees may not bring commercial food into the venue.
10. Attendees may not bring animals into LFG, with the exception of animals required to support management of a disability.
11. All efforts are made to ensure exhibitors and setup are as advertised; however, LFG reserve the right to change this as required.
12. Participants may take photographs, videos or sound recordings for personal use only. Any use, reuse, or production for commercial purposes requires LFG written permission.
13. To maintain privacy, attendees may not use any form of recording in change rooms or toilets.
14. As this is a public event, LFG may take your image at any time for security purposes or for use in marketing materials.
15. Attendees may not bring marketing materials for distribution without permission of LFG.
16. Attendees may not conduct public surveys, opinion polls, solicit money, donations or subscriptions from other attendees without prior written permission from LFG.
17. Attendees may only smoke in designated areas.
18. Attendees are responsible for the safe keeping of their personal property for the duration of LFG.
19. Agreement from LFG is required for refunds, changes or exchanges on any ticket including complimentary tickets.
20. LFG reserves the right to inspect attendee bags and property while the attendee is entering, exiting or within the venue.
21. Any refunds will be processed less booking and financial fees.
